A Dedicated Dance Instructor

Dance is something I've been passionate about since I started learning as a child, then moving onto competitive dance as I grew up. ​
Now as a teacher, it brings me great pleasure to help adults learn to dance, seeing people achieve results that they never thought possible. Encouraging people to reach their potential through dance is at the very heart of what we do.
These days we are getting back to teaching without restrictions and can welcome clients whether an individual or with a partner. Our classes are inclusive and relaxed, you'll learn to dance in a fun, no pressure environment.
For group classes we teach across two sites: Buckingham and Towcester. Private lessons and wedding choreography takes place in a hall between Buckingham and Towcester - more details on the following pages.

Julie was one of our very first dance teachers when we started group lessons around 9 years' ago. More recently we've been taking private lessons with her. Julie's lifelong passion for dance is infectious and her teaching is delivered with structure and clarity, always aiming to help her students be the best dancers they can be. Julie instructs with the perfect combination of energy, purpose and humour and thanks to her expert guidance we have a new skill and new social avenues.

Two years ago we watched Strictly in awe every Saturday. Â We heard about Julie's dance school and plucked up courage to go. Â The group classes are brilliant fun, Julie breaks down the dances so well that you feel you're dancing almost immediately. Â After 55 minutes we left feeling we had already started to dance. Â Julie has a lovely natural cheerfulness and explains and demonstrates simply and clearly. Â We have learnt a good selection of ballroom and latin dances and have been brave enough to go to a Tea Dance on our own!

We had been dancing for many years without much style when we started private lessons.  Julie stripped the dances back to basics and she transformed our dancing by listening, understanding limitations and finding solutions. She puts so much into her teaching it makes us push ourselves - all this is done with humour and grace!  We regularly attend her social events which are friendly and welcoming  - we can't recommend Dance Buckingham enough!"
